The Omnisio video player requires flash player version 9.0.115.0 and above. Adobe provides an auto-update function which should automatically upgrade your player (if required). However, we have received reports from users having trouble with this mechanism.
To update your flash player manually, please visit the flash player page at Adobe's website.
Yes. Simply append the timecode to the end of your URL (in the format mm:ss).
For example, to link to 12 minutes and 1 second from the start of the video, you would use a link like this: http://omnisio.com/startupschool08/paul-graham-at-startup-school-08/12:01
The commenting feature is a fun way for your friends (and the community) to add time-sensitive comments on top of your videos. However, they can become overwhelming (especially on high-traffic websites).
You can turn comments on and off while watching a video by clicking the "Comments" button in the top right of the player.
Very soon, you will be able to restrict who can comment on your videos, but for now we want everyone to have a play around and familiarize themselves with the feature.
Please note: If you don't wish to enable the commenting feature for your videos, it can be disabled in the "Publish" tab of the video creator. You must be logged in to access this setting.
When you select the in-point for each video in your compilation, you may have noticed that the drag handle snaps to every few seconds, whereas the end marker can be placed anywhere.
This is a restriction based on the source video's keyframe intervals. Presently, we can only start playing a video from a keyframe position. Some of the videos on You Tube (especially the older ones) have less frequent keyframes.
We are very aware of this issue, and we are working to resolve it.
Watching in full-screen mode is a great way to experience the videos, however (for security reasons) the flash player doesn't accept keyboard input in full-screen mode. Unfortunately there's no way around this.
You can switch to normal mode, input your comments, and then switch back to full-screen mode to continue watching.
